Ben joined the Institute in January 2018 as part of an expansion of the Academic Programmes group. His team is responsible for the recruitment of doctoral level positions, management of the training programmes (including Centres for Doctoral Training provision) and supporting researchers of all levels at the Turing in developing the necessary skills to be the impact leaders of tomorrow.
He previously worked at the Researcher Development Programme at the University of Cambridge where he managed the implementation of a new graduate skills framework. He is an experienced trainer with a special interest in communication skills and higher education teaching practice. He has a PhD in biophysics and molecular biology and is a Teaching Associate at St John’s College, Cambridge.
