I did a master's degree in atmospheric and climate sciences and my main interest concerns the role of clouds in the climate and their evolution due to global warming and anthropogenic aerosol emissions. During my studies I worked with machine learning tools such as Self-Organizing-Maps to investigate the natural variability of clouds in Europe combining different types of data from satellite remote sensing. I am currently working on evaluating the thermodynamic phase of clouds in the new generation of global circulation models to better understand the radiative bias occurring in models in the Southern Ocean region.
